The links in red have valves and will keep your hands warm. The others might do if they're not working properly.

Klemt Echolette Showstar S40

Redmere Soloist

Selmer Constellation 20

Vox AC50

(There's also an old blue/grey Selmer Twin Selector-Tone under the bench somewhere)

Where does it all come from?

It's a mystery, but there must be enough classic kit rusting away in sheds to fill the Albert Hall. Unfortunately, getting it all working is expensive and the finished article probably won't fetch enough to cover the cost. But what the ~~~~. The memories locked up in these things are priceless so why not have a go anyway.

This equipment is mostly from my own collection and gets worked on as I get time, that's why it's not finished yet (well I probably have got time but the shed's a bit nippy sometimes) . The JMI Vox Conqueror was very kindly loaned to me by Trevor Dymott to document. It's in very good original condition, unlike the rest of the equipment featured in these pages. There are also a couple of odd items that are there just for interest - the Redmere and the Echolette.

June 09... John from Amp-fix has suggested that some of it may have come out of a skip. I'm saying nothing.

Anyway, I've never been able to throw stuff away and I'll have a go at anything once, so read on.
